Charity dinner raises over $7,000 for community

    Through ticket sales and donations, more than $7,000 was raised for Evangelical Community Hospital’s Community Health Education (CHE) program at the annual Charity Dinner held Sun., March 30, at Elizabeth’s An American Bistro in Lewisburg.
    More than 65 guests were in attendance for the five course Italian menu, served by special guests from Evangelical’s Medical Staff. Fred Teichman, MD, Kristine Perle, MD, J. Lawrence Ginsburg, MD, James Morgan, MD, FACS, Todd Stefan, MD, FACS, and Paul Tarves, RN, Vice President of Nursing all took part in the event.
    CHE is devoted to prevention, early intervention and health education. In 2007, CHE served more than 17,000 Valley residents by providing health screenings, health education classes, seminars, support groups and administered over 2,800 flu vaccinations. Community Health Education also works with more than 45 area businesses to promote wellness initiatives.
