Bargain hunters in the Susquehanna Valley who are used to driving to Williamsport or Harrisburg to find discounted designer clothing can now save both time and money by shopping closer to home.
A new retail shop, called What’s in Store? has opened in downtown Lewisburg. It offers brand-name men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories at deeply discounted prices. The “lower than wholesale price” theme is  evident throughout the store.
“Women’s designer jeans, which retail for $150 and up at other stores, we are selling for just fifty dollars,” said Maurice Brubaker, proprietor of What’s in Store?  “With the economy the way it is, everyone is looking for the best value for their money. We want to offer that to them.”
Some of the other designer merchandise includes men’s ties for $10, dress shirts for $20, women’s shoes for $24.95 and stylish tops starting at $19.95.  A wide range of sizes is available for both men (Small-XX Large) and women (0-3X).
The store will cater to all lifestyles, from professional business attire to casual and fitness apparel. “The nice thing is that the prices being as low as they are, the inventory will turn over and will always be fresh,” Brubaker added. “Most of our clothing is priced under fifty dollars.”
What’s in Store? is located at 427 Market St., the site of the former Brubaker’s Clothier shop. Hours are Mon.-Thurs. 12 to 5 p.m., Fri. 12 to 7 p.m. and Sat., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Individuals who still have Brubaker’s Clothier gift cards may use them at the new shop. For more information, call What’s in Store? at 524-9977.
