Blue skies, blueberries, bluegrass music and everything else BLUE will be the order of the day on Fri., July 20, as Mifflinburg Heritage & Revitalization Association, Inc., hosts its 14th annual Blueberries & Bluegrass Festival.
The festival begins at 6 p.m. at the Mifflinburg Community Park on 5th Street, 1 ˝ blocks north of Route 45.  Katie Yoder is our baker this year and will be providing blueberry pies and blueberry Whoopie Pies for everyone’s sweet tooth. To make it even better, Katie uses only wild blueberries. Only at Blueberries & Bluegrass can you get blueberry Whoopie Pies! Also available will be blueberry swirl ice-cram, blueberry sundaes and topping.  We are even having a few sugar free blueberry pies made for those who love the pies but can’t have or don’t want the sugar!  Also available will be bratwurst, chicken, fries, fresh lemonade, tea, pizza and more.  For those who want to create their own blueberry sensations at home, the Kiwanis will be selling fresh boxed blueberries.
The West End Bluegrass Band will perform in the gazebo beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 to entertain you while you enjoy the blueberry specialties available. Bring your own lawn chair, please.
MHRA thanks M&T Bank, our official sponsor of Blueberries & Bluegrass. For more information, please call MHRA at 966-1666 or email mhra@dejazzd.com or go to our website at www.mifflinburgpa.com.
