Four young women successfully completed Herr Memorial Library’s “Teens Getting Ready to Work” summer program that was funded by a “Youth Employability” mini-grant from the Union-Snyder Community Action Agency.
The goal of the program, which was presented as part of the library’s “Make a Splash” 2010 summer reading program, was to provide knowledge and skills to eligible young people so that they would be more able to find and keep suitable jobs. Stipends were awarded to those who completed the program successfully.
