The Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School has announced its selections for Student of the Month for April. Students are selected by their teacher on the criteria of citizenship, community involvement, and contribution to school climate.
Sean Carl is in fourth grade. He is the son of Mike and Annette Carl. He has two brothers and lives in Mifflinburg. His favorite class is PA History. His favorite sport is football. In his spare time, Sean enjoys riding his bicycle and playing with his cats. In the future he would like to be a policeman.
Nina Maneval is in fifth grade, the daughter of Kelly and Glenn Maneval. She has one sister and three brothers and lives in Mifflinburg. Social Studies is her favorite class in school, where she is also in the school chorus. She is a Girl Scout and a member of the 4-H Club. Soccer is her favorite sport. In her spare time Nina likes to collect porcelain dolls. In the future she would like to be a teacher.
The Millmont West Union Area Lions Club sponsors the Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School Student of the Month for each grade. A savings bond will be given to each recipient at the year-end awards assembly.
