January ASPIRE winners announced

     The Mifflinburg Intermediate School students selected as ASPIRE recipients for the month of January have recently been announced by Principal Scott Zimmerman. The students in fourth and fifth grades are selected by their homeroom teachers as being positive role models for their peers by displaying respect, reliability and kindness to others. The award is sponsored by the Mifflinburg Kiwanis Club and each student will receive a certificate and cash award at the school’s end-of-the-year assembly.
    In Mr. Underkoffler’s fourth grade, Breanna Roush, daughter of Bonnie Roush, Wendy Zimmerman-Roush and Kevin Roush, was chosen.  She has a younger brother named Kolby and her favorite class is gym. Breanna enjoys playing basketball and softball and hopes to someday become a horse trainer.
    Abigail Snayberger, daughter of Duane and Kelly Snayberger was the fifth grader chosen from Mr. Moyer’s homeroom. She has a younger brother named Adam and her favorite subject is math.  Abigail is active in basketball, cheerleading, soccer and field hockey. She is also active in her church youth group where she sings in the choir, sings in the school choir and is active in Girl Scouts. She would like to be a teacher when she grows up.
