The West End Library would like to thank its volunteers, board members and community for making its annual book sale a huge success. This year the library raised $750.
“We would like to thank all those who donated books and yard sale items this year to the library’s sale,” said Susan Epley, library director. “We also want to thank the many volunteers for helping the library set up, sell and pack up all the wonderful donations.”
The book sale was held at the library, while the yard sale was held at the Hartley Township Community Center. Volunteers were utilized at both locations and were instrumental in the success of this fundraising event.
“Although the library receives state funding for operating costs, much of our funding comes from local support,” explained Epley. “That support allows us to add new items to our collection including books, music CDs, books on CD, and DVDs. We also use that funding to add items to our children’s collection and host programs for adults and children throughout the year.”
Along with the volunteers, the library would also like to thank the Hartley Township Community Center for donating the space to host the yard sale.
For more information about the West End Library or volunteer and support opportunities, visit the library at 45 Ball Park Rd., Laurelton or call  922-4773. You can also visit the website at www.westendlibrary.org.
