Mae Keefer nursing scholarships awarded at hospital

    Evangelical Community Hospital recently awarded the Mae F. Keefer Nursing Scholarship to six area graduates.
    The Keefer Scholarship Fund was established to commemorate Mae F. Keefer, RN, who dedicated more than 37 years of professional nursing services to Evangelical Community Hospital. Established in 1988, the Fund assists students with the tuition costs associated with receiving their nursing education.
    The newly awarded 2008 recipients are Jamie Keister, Hannah Kolody, Brent McPeak, Ashlee Osborne, Kara Stahl and Jessica Totton.
    Keister is the daughter of Brian and Donita Keister of Mifflinburg. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and is attending Bloomsburg University.
    Kolody is the daughter Harry and Lori Kolody of Mt. Carmel. She is a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area Jr./Sr.High School and is attending Bloomsburg University.
    McPeak is the son of Richard and Bridgette McPeak of Mt. Carmel. He is a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area Jr./Sr. High School and is attending Bloomsburg University.
    Osborne is the daughter of Tim and Sherry Osborne of Mifflinburg. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and is attending Bloomsburg University.
    Stahl is the daughter of Robert and Kathy Stahl of Mifflinburg. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and is attending Bloomsburg University.
    Totton is the daughter of Roger and Susan Totton of Middleburg. She is a graduate of Midd-West High School and is attending Pennsylvania College of Technology.
