The Mifflinburg Area Middle School announces its selections for Student of the Month for April. Students are selected by their teachers on the criteria of attendance, grades, good citizenship, completion of homework, and being a positive leader in the classroom.
Dale Hartman is in sixth grade, the son of Mark and Kathryn Hartman, and he lives in Millmont. In school his favorite class is science. He is a member of the band, and is in TSA. Golf is his favorite sport and he likes to read. In the future Dale would like to be a scientist.
Robert “Bobby” Girvin is in seventh grade. His parents are Robyn and Robert Girvin. He has one brother and lives in Mifflinburg. Gym is his favorite class, and he enjoys running in the gym in the morning. He is a member of the Art Club, and his favorite sport is bowling. Bobby works on a duck farm and plans to participate in the Relay for Life in June. He likes to read and go hunting. In the future he would like to be a wood worker.
Connor Pierce is in eighth grade, and lives in New Berlin. He is the son of Tammy and Robert Pierce and he has one sister. Phys. Ed. is his favorite class and he enjoys football, basketball, soccer, baseball and track. He also likes to swim, lift weights, and go hunting and fishing. Connor is a member of the chorus at school and a member of the Youth Fellowship at his church.
Ryan Sauers is in eighth grade. His parents are Wendy and Kim Sauers. He has one sister and lives in Mifflinburg. Reading and computer class are his favorite times and he enjoys basketball and baseball. Ryan likes to go swimming and horseback riding.
The Millmont West Union Area Lions Club sponsors the Mifflinburg Area Middle School Student of the Month for each grade. A savings bond will be given to each recipient at the year-end awards assembly.
