SUN Area Dairy Princess Dawn Franck visited the Mifflinburg Area School District 3rd grade students recently as part of the Discover Dairy curriculum offered by the Center for Dairy Excellence. She explained how milk gets from the farm to the dinner table, asked dairy trivia questions, spoke about her role as the dairy princess, answered questions and as a special treat served milk flavored with Jello gelatin or pudding. To have the SUN Area Dairy Princess, Maids or Misses at your school or event in Snyder, Union, Northumberland or Montour counties, visit www.padairy.org, click on the Book a Promotion tab and under county look for SUN Area. Above, students from Mr. Hummel’s class at Buffalo Crossroads Elementary school listening as Franck speaks about the dairy industry.
