Mrs. Reed Gutelius spent a day recently with Mrs. Gardner Gottshall. Mrs. Lewis Robinalt was a Mifflinburg caller on Tuesday of last week.
Quite a number of school children could not get to school on account of the deep snow which fell last week. We are sorry to state that our Pastor, Rev. James Goss of the Cowan Lutheran Church was confined to his bed with pneumonia and will not take charge of his duties until February 28th. Tonsilitis and grip are the ailments around this place during the past winter months.

The snow which fell on Wednesday made it bad for the milkman and mail carrier to make their trips. It drifted and piled snow as high as some fences. Mr. Ground Hog has started on his six weeks winter weather.
We hope he will soon bring spring. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Dyer and daughter, Twilia, spent some time with relatives. Messrs. Gardner Gotshall and Chas. Edelman were weekend callers at the mountain.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Beaver and son spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Botiger. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Valentine spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Valentine. Mr. Allen Beaver and Paul Botiger spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Beck. Mr. and Mrs. Foust Wagner and daughter, Elaine, spent Sunday with David Boyer and family.
