Sorry to state that Mr. Harry Wilkinson is on the sick list. Mr. Charles Walter spent Sunday last with his family in this place. Miss Alice Geary of Danville recently visited her parents near town. Mr. H.M. Sanders, west of town, was a Lewisburg visitor on last Saturday. Mr. Byron Hassenplug of Lewisburg was calling on relatives in town Monday. Mr. Alfred Moyer of Millmont was in town on business on Saturday. Mr. Wm. R. from was to Bellefonte on a business trip fore part of this week. Miss Ria Hoffman spent a few days this week with relatives in Lewisburg. Miss Annie Stein was calling on relatives in Snyder County a few days last week.
Mrs. John W. Lincoln and daughter Mary spent last Saturday with relatives in Milton. Miss Ellen VanValzah spent a few days this week with Lewisburg relatives and friends. Mrs. Russell Christine and daughter spent a few days this week with relatives in Sunbury.
Mr. Pierce Thompson of Lewisburg spent Sunday with his father and family in this place. We are glad to state that Paul Gutelius who was on the sick list, is again able to be about. Quite a number from this place attended the play in the Lewisburg Opera House on Monday evening. Mr. Horace Long the genial commercial traveler from Philadelphia made the burg a few days visit quite recently.
After a pleasant trip with her parents, Mrs. P.M. Bikle departed for her home in Gettysburg Saturday. Miss Mazie Brungard who is working at the Norristown Hospital visited her parents near town, the week past. Miss Jennie Henning of Lewisburg spent a few days this week with Mr. Wm. Katherman and family on Chestnut St. From the Williamsport “Bulletin” we learn that Rev. Dr. J.M. Anspach is confined to his home with rheumatism.
Messrs. Jas. K. Reish, Jas. R. Ritter and Harry B. Young attended a telephone meeting in Lewisburg one day last week. Miss Daisy Miller of Lewisburg spent a few days last week with her sister, Mrs. A.J. Zimmerman and children in this place. Mr. Lew Derr and two children of Lewisburg were in this place a short time Saturday last. They had been at Laurelton. Mr. Truman Thomas of Williamsport is the guest of his sister, Mrs. Wm. Katherman a few days the latter part of the week. Miss Nora Paul is visiting relatives and friends in Sunbury, Shamokin and other surrounding towns. We wish her a pleasant visit.
Traveling salesman Robert S. Gutelius, Ashley Barber and M.E. Dieffenderfer spent Sunday last with home friends and relatives. Hon. Samuel Keiser was a business visitor to the county seat on last Saturday and at this writing, we are sorry to state, is on the sick list. Professor Wm. Blair has opened a Music Studio in the Bogar Block, second story which is neatly and artistically furnished being a very inviting domicile.
We are glad to state that Mr. Ralph Brown, who was severely burned with acid while at work in Steans’ drug store a week or so ago, is again able to be about. We are sorry to state that Mr. Robert Moyer, baggagemaster on conductor Reamer’s train on the L & T branch has been off duty a few days owing to a very sore foot.
Mr. F.B. Harshbarger a representative of the Milwaukeee Harvesting Co. made Mr. George W. Young, our lively and enterprising dealer in agricultural implements a business visit on Monday last. Mrs. E.J. Boyer received a letter from her son, Charles who is a member of Compo A 41st Reg. U.S. I. on duty at Manilla, stating he is better after a severe illness, which is good news to her as well as his many friends in this his former home.
From last week’s Millheim “Journal” Benjamin F. Reighard of Mifflinburg was registered at the Musser House several days this week. Although Mr. Reighard has been away from Millheim 38 years he is at least an annual visitor and always finds much pleasure in renewing acquaintances here.

Shell, Harry Struble, John Mench, G.W. Englehart. Mr. J.O. Glover was a visitor in Lewisburg Monday last. Prof. A.E. Gobble of New Berlin was in town on Monday. Mr. M.G. Reed was to Lewisburg on business on Tuesday.
Mr. Gilbert Schoch is down with the grip since early last week. Mrs. Robert Snodgrass is visiting relatives and friends in Philadelphia. Dr. J.C. Steans was down country on professional business Wednesday. Mrs. Jno. Haupt of Millmont was in town calling on friends on Tuesday. Mr. Frank Thompson spent Saturday last with relatives in Lewisburg. Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Beckley are visiting relatives and friends in Harrisburg. Mr. T.M. Reed was calling on friends in Lewisburg on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Romig entertained a Whist Club on Thursday evening.
Mr. John Moyer was calling on lady friends in Lewisburg on Monday evening. Mr. Cyrus Ruhl of up the country was to the county seat on business last Saturday. Mr. Reuben Longbay was calling on relatives in Lewisburg on last Monday night. Mr. C.E. Condon has gone to Clearfield County on a business trip. Success to him. Rev. W.I. Steans of Danville spent a few days with relatives in town this week. Mr. John Ringler of Leesport, Pa. was a business visitor in this place Tuesday last.
Mr. O.L.B. Thompson was to Glen Iron on business a few days fore part of the week. Mrs. John V. Rule went to Lock Haven on Monday last to visit her son William and family. Miss Flora Lance spent a few days this week with her brother, William and family in Lewisburg. Mr. Jas. Blair and gentleman friend of Williamsport were the guests of his mother over Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Noah Slear of Lochiel dined with their son, John and wife in this place on Wednesday. Mrs. H. Harris and child of Lewisburg were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gensburg on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. DeLong and bright little son of Philadelphia visited relatives in this place this week. Miss Grace Stitzer has returned to her studies in Dickinson Seminary after a very delightful home stay a month. Mrs. Kate Oberlin and son, Merrill of Milton visited her brothers John T. and Charles D. Cox this place, this week. Miss Lettie Mark of Millmont was the pleasing guest of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Young one day latter part of this week. Mrs. B.K. Focht and two daughters spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.G.Wolf in this place this week.
Mr. William Moss has accepted a position at his trade, Jewelryman in Bradford, for which place he departed latter part of last week. Mr. Gerthrie Iddings who is working in Philadelphia spent the past week with his father and sister in this his former home.
After a pleasant visit with his grandma Bowes in this place, Master Max Guyer returned to his mother in Philadelphia on Monday last. After a pleasant visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Wittes, Mrs. Fred Bower returned to her home in Bloomsburg on Tuesday evening. Miss Mary Keiser one of the courteous young ladies in the “Telegraph” exchange at this place, spent a few days with Lewisburg friends latter part of last week. Miss Anna Schrack departed for Marion, Ohio on Monday evening, where she will spend some time among friends. We wish her visit very pleasant and profitable.
Mr. R. Frank Feese entertained in excellent fashion and in an up-to-date manner, a company of young ladies at his pretty home on Chestnut St. on Thursday evening. Mr. Richard V.B. Lincoln spent Sunday last with his son-in-law, Rev. S.B. Evans, in Milton, and on Monday he was in Lewisburg visitor, returning home in the afternoon.
After a very pleasant vacation of several weeks with her parents in this place, Miss Harriet Bogenrief departed for Philadelphia on Saturday last where she has secured a position. Miss Mary Halfpenny one of the courteous and efficient instructors at the Odd Fellows Home in Sunbury, spent a few days this week with her aunt, Mrs. Boyd Miller and husband of Chestnut St. After a pleasant visit with her aunt, Mrs. Harry Wilkinson, Miss Belle Smith returned to her home in Tyrone, where she is the efficient and very popular instructor of a large kindergarten school. The following from this place attended a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spangler in New Berlin on last Tuesday evening, and report a very enjoyable time: Misses Bess Cobb, Grace Chambers, Harriet Bingaman, Maude Kleckner, Messrs. Clyde Beckley, Harry Smith, Edgar Wagner and Ernest Chambers.
Mr. Samuel Hartman of near town is visiting relatives in Sunbury. Miss Hannah King of Millmont was calling on friends in town Thursday. Mr. Wm. Mitchell of Canton, Pa. spent Sunday last at the beautiful country residence of Mr. Samuel Schrack and family east of town.
