Lucy Elizabeth (Ginsburg) Clark Wilkins
    Lucy Elizabeth (Ginsburg) Clark Wilkins, 82, of 1270 Johnstown Road, Mifflinburg passed away at 9:33 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at her home surrounded by family.
    She was born April 17, 1929, in Kansas City, a daughter of the late Robert Willingham and Mary Monima (Green) Ginsburg. On Sept. 3, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas, she married Jonathan Earl Clark, who passed away on Aug. 14, 1976. She remarried in 1984 in Rochester, N.Y., to Orville Francis Wilkins, who passed away on March 21, 1991.
    Lucy completed undergraduate studies at Missouri University and earned her master’s degree from Nazareth College, Rochester, N.Y.
    She retired as special education teacher with the East Irondequoit School District in New York, where she was recognized for her work in defining the criteria that determines whether a child required special education. Earlier in life, she worked as a typesetter for her parents’ newspaper, the St. Clair County Democrat, in Osceola, Miss.
    Lucy was a member of Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg. She achieved the distinction of master level embroiderer with the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, was a member of the Mifflinburg Spinners and Weavers Guild, and volunteered at the Genesee Country Village & Museum, Rochester, N.Y., giving tours of the Shaker House.
    Lucy enjoyed attending sit and stitches, doing needle work and quilting, smocking clothing for her grandchildren and attending rendezvous, Eastern, North Eastern, Lancaster Long Rifles, and the Labor Day Rifle frolic with the Union County Muzzleloaders, where she would camp, prepare meals and teach people how to use the lucette. She enjoyed spending time over the winter months with her daughter, Polly, and two grandchildren in Sarasota, Fla.
    She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Christina Clark, of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Polly Tekampe, of Sarasota; five grandchildren, Hannah and Gregory Wert, Naomi and Jason Rosancrans, LCPL Jonathan E. Clark, USMC, Emily Tekampe and James Tekampe.
    Preceding her in death were two brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert Newman and B.G. Ginsburg and Howard Ginsburg, and one sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Ted Short.
    Funeral services were held Wed., Dec. 7, at Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg. Pastor Ryan Henderson officiated.
    Interment will be at a later date in Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, Okla., next to her husband.

    Arrangements were entrusted to the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.

William R. Bennage
    William R. Bennage, 79, of 70 E. Green St., entered into rest at 4:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at his home.
    He was born June 14, 1932, in Buffalo Township, a son of the late Sliffer Ross Bennage and Aeritta Viola Mann. On March 28, 1953, in West Milton, he married the former Betty Mae Grove, who survives.
    Bill attended Lewisburg High School.
    He retired in 1994 as an oil burner technician after 21 years of service with H.L. Klose and Sons Inc., Mifflinburg, and was formerly employed for 18 years at the Luther Burry Warehouse, Lewisburg.
    Bill was a member and past governor of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1396, Mifflinburg.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra M. and David S. DeLong, of Mifflinburg, and Susan M. and David L. Delcamp, of Lavonia; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley Troup, of Lewisburg, Rosella M. Predix, of Mifflinburg, Audrey and Thomas Wagner, of Florida, and Donna and Amos Gray, of New Columbia; one brother and sister-in-law, Kurt and Arlene Bennage, of Milton; seven grandchildren, Wayne Bierly, Ryan Bierly, Megan Scott, Lonny Bennage, William Bennage Jr., Sabrina Turner and Vicki Welshans; and 18 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one son, William Donald Bennage, on March 31, 1999; one brother, Robert Bennage, on June 3; and one sister, Judy Kline.
    Interment will be private in Hill Top Cemetery, Mifflinburg.

Forrest Charles Emery
    Forrest Charles Emery, 85, of 1135 Red Bank Road, Mifflinburg since 1951, entered into rest on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
    Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.

Theodore “Pete” Woodrow Catherman
    Theodore “Pete” Woodrow Catherman, 92, of 35 E. Maple St. for the past 42 years, entered into rest at 1:41 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
    He was born April 28, 1919 in Millmont, a son of the late Clayton and Sevila (Hackenburg) Catherman. On June 15, 1942, in Frederick, Md., he married the love of his life, the former Carolyn L. McClintock, who survives.
    Pete was a 1937 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
    Pete farmed all of his life until the age of 50.  He then worked as a bridge builder for Faylor Middle Creeek, Winfield, until he retired at the age of 65.  In his retirement years, he enjoyed building furniture for his family and friends.
    He was a member of Christ United Lutheran Church, Millmont.
    While in school and in his younger adult years, he participated in soccer, baseball, and band. His love of music was passed down to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making three generations of his family that played the trombone.
    Pete attended all of his family’s choral and band concerts, competitions, equestrian meets, football, and baseball games that he could. Love for his family was Pete’s first priority. Hunting was another passion of his, and he was an active hunter for 80 years, with his last hunting trip the week of Nov. 25, 2011. Pete was one of the founding organizers and builders of the Beech Tree Hunting Camp in Tioga County.
    He was a lifetime member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club, Mifflinburg, National Rifle Association, and the North American Hunting Club.
    Pete was a most compassionate and loving husband, father, and uncle. He opened his home to all those he loved.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife of 69 years, are one daughter, Carol A. McJilton, of Mifflinburg; one son, Forrest L. and his wife Denise McClintock, of Catawissa; three grandchildren, Karla R. and her husband Jeff Benfer, of Winfield, Scott P. McJilton and his girlfriend Veronica Hudon, of Mifflinburg, and Shawn McClintock, of Catawissa; four great-grandchildren, Sean, Garrett, and Katelyn Benfer, and Gabrielle McClintock; one adored niece, Barb and husband Roger Miller, of Penns Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shannon McClintock; two sisters, Ruth Shoemaker, and Rhoda Hartley; and one son-in-law, Paul H. McJilton.
    Funeral services were held Wed., Dec. 6, at Christ United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont. The Rev. John Yost officiated.
    Burial was in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.

Regis I. Snook
    Regis I. Snook, 80, of 1090 Lincoln Chapel Road, Millmont since 1950, entered into rest Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Ga.
    She was born May 20, 1931 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Nolan and Pauline (Woodling) Musser. On May 19, 1950, in Burnham, she married George B. Snook. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1995.
    Regis attended the Burnham schools.
    She was employed at Yorktowne Kitchens, Mifflinburg, for 25 years, until she retired in 1996.
    Regis was a member of Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, for more than 50 years.
    She enjoyed flower gardening and doing yard work at her home, baking bread and cooking for her family, canning foods, tending to her chickens, and visiting people in area nursing homes.
    Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Steven N. and Alisa Snook, of Lewisburg, David L. and Pat Snook, John D. Snook, and Eric A. and Daphne Snook, all of Millmont; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie E. and Michael McQuinn, of Altus, Okla., and Lisa A. and Anthony Williams, of Woodstock, Ga,; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sandra Royer, of Lewistown, Nola and Donnie Laird, of Lewistown, Shirley and Glenn Felmlee, of Burnham, and Thelma Shotzburger, of Lewistown; also 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and John Musser; and one sister, Phyllis Reese.
    Family and friends are welcome to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 9, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, with Pastor Richard DeVett officiating.
    Burial will be in the Lincoln Chapel Cemetery.

Linda Diane Wagner
    Linda Diane Wagner, 55, of Wildwood Road, Mifflinburg entered into rest Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at her home.
    She was born Sept. 2, 1956 in Lewisburg, a daughter of Dawn E. Miller and Frank Spickler of Beavertown, and Harold R. and Beverly Miller of Middleburg.
    Linda was a 1975 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She then graduated with honors from McCann Business School with an associate's degree in business management.
    She was employed as manager of Shrawder’s Mini Market, Penns Creek, for 15 years, and prior to that worked at International Paper, Lewisburg.
    Linda served as Limestone Township Supervisor for many years.
    She enjoyed taking family photos, camping, riding Harley Davidsons, and cooking. Linda was active in contributing to cancer research, including donating money raised from selling cookbooks that she had written.
    Surviving in addition to her parents, are one daughter and son-in-law, Marci A. and Braden Heimbach, of Millmont; three grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, and Kelsey Heimbach, of Millmont; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori and Gary Shrawder, and Lisa and Roy Boop III, all of Mifflinburg; one half-brother, Steve and his wife Karen Miller, of Middleburg;  maternal grandmother, Alma Heimbach of Mifflinburg; numerous step-brothers and step-sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya Lynn in 1984; and one brother, Bobby Miller in 1960.
    Funeral services were held Fri., Dec. 2, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg. The Rev. Ricky Phillips officiated.
    Burial was in the Dry Valley Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Suzanne J. Everitt
    Suzanne J. Everitt, 64, of South Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    She was born June 18, 1947, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Kermit Boop and Louisa (Peterman) Coldren, and the stepdaughter of Wayne Coldren.
    Suzanne was a 1965 graduate of Mifflinburg High School and attended medical secretary school in Hagerstown, Md.
    She was a medical secretary for many years and had worked for Dr. Coleman Funk for the past 10 years.
    Suzanne’s first love was her family. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, fishing and hunting.
    She is survived by her mother, Louisa, of Montoursville; one son, Brandon, of Watsontown; one sister, Sheran Jones, of Mifflinburg; and two nephews.
    A memorial service was held at Fri., Dec. 2, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.

Cameron X. Habecker
    Cameron Xavier Habecker, 18 months, of 403 Vosler Circle, Barksdale, LA, entered into Heaven on November 28, 2011 at Sutton Children’s Hospital, Shreveport, LA
    He was born on May 22, 2010 in Shreveport, LA, the son of Staff Sergeant Andrew W. and Jennifer K. (Shoemaker) Habecker.
    Ever since Cameron was born, he loved music. He enjoyed falling to sleep at night listening to lullabies, and watching Veggie Tales.  He will be remembered as a bright shining, loveable child.  
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Steven E. and Brenda K. Habecker of Lebanon; maternal grandparents, David E. and Sherry A. Shoemaker of Mifflinburg;  six great-grandparents, one great-great grandmother; three uncles and aunts , Sheldon E. and wife Jennifer I. Habecker of Landisville, David W. and wife Nicole L. Shoemaker of Millmont, Jason R. Shoemaker and his girlfriend, Stacey L. Geiswite, of Mifflinburg; one aunt, Rebecca L. Shoemaker of Mifflinburg; and one cousin, David C. Shoemaker of Millmont.
    A service to celebrate Cameron’s life was held Sat., Dec. 3, at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, with Pastor James D. Plank officiating.
    Interment was in the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Cemetery.
    The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and other special care givers who were so generous with their time, and for the love and care that they showed to Cameron.  
    The familywas served by Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
