Allison Renee VonNeida
    Allison Renee VonNeida, 21, of Main Street,  Hartleton entered into rest early Saturday morning, Jan. 7, 2012, in Hartley Township, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
    She was born Oct. 16, 1990, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Scott A. VonNeida, of Millmont and Joy M. (Keister) VonNeida Delcamp and Barry Delcamp, of Millmont.  
    Allison was a 2009 graduate of Loyalsock High School. She was in her second year of studying at Penn College, Williamsport.
    She was employed at the Bison at Bucknell University.
    Surviving in addition to her parents are her daughter, Lyila F. Wirth; one brother, Kurtis A. VonNeida, of Millmont; one sister, Wendy L. VonNeida, of Mifflinburg; grandmother, Marie R. VonNeida, of Hartleton; and grandfather, Charles E. Keister, of Millmont.
    She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy J. Keister; and grandfather, Harry L. VonNeida.
    A memorial service to celebrate the life of Allison was conducted Wed., Jan. 11, at the Christ United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont. The Rev. John D. Yost officiated.
    Memorial contributions to benefit Allison’s daughter may be made to Marie VonNeida Box 6, Hartleton, PA 17829.
    Funeral arrangements were by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.

Samuel Lee Willow
    Samuel Lee Willow, 62, of 1810 Ridge Road, Mifflinburg since 1974, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.  
    He was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Lewisburg, a son of George and Ella (Brouse) Willow, of Mifflinburg. On Feb. 8, 1969, in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Urban, he married the former Carol Anne Lesher, who survives.
    Sam was a 1967 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
    He was a dedicated worker as a dairy farmer, employee of Mifflinburg Farm Bureau, Koch’s Trucking Company, and an employee of W. A. DeHart, Inc. since 1985.
    He was an active member of the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.        Sam’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a compassionate, giving person dedicated to serving others. His message shared through his actions and words, was that people are the most treasured gift in the world.
    Surviving in addition to his parents and wife of 42 years, are one son, Chad Willow, of Winfield; two daughters and one son-in-law, Fred and Stacy White, of Mifflinburg, and Renee Willow, of Pittsburgh; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Judy Willow, of Mifflinburg, and Alan and Roberta Willow, of Watsontown; one sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Richard Krick, of Mifflinburg; and three grandchildren, Cooper, Declan and Rowan White, who all lovingly referred to him as “Poppy.”  
    There will be no public viewing. Family and friends are welcome for a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 12, at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg, where a memorial service to celebrate the life of Sam will be conducted at 11 with the Rev. Michael C. Romig, officiating.
    Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sam’s memory may be made to Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
    Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.

Elaine Louise Feist
    Elaine Louise Feist, 59, of 1921 Beaver Run Road, Lewisburg since 1975, went home to be with her Lord at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, surrounded by her loving family, after a lifelong courageous battle with the effects of being a Geisinger DES Daughter.
    She was born Sept. 17, 1952, in Danville, a daughter of Helen M. (Foltz) Shambach, of Millmont, and the late Harold E. Shambach. On June 14, 1975, at the Penns Creek United Methodist Church, she was united in marriage by the Rev. Jack E. Landis, to Paul J. Feist, who survives.
    Elaine was a 1970 graduate of Middleburg High School.
    She was employed at HiLi Corporation, Penns Creek, until 1977, when she became a full time homemaker and mother after the birth of her daughter. She later worked part time at BiLo, Lewisburg. In 1998, Elaine began employment at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where she worked for over 11 years and attained her state Certified Nursing Assistant certification. She loved the residents and her Christian heart was blessed often.
    Elaine loved get togethers with family and friends, camping, and spending time at the family cabin west of Weikert. She also enjoyed her legendary coupon clipping, shopping, carnivals, fairs, and yard sales.
    Surviving in addition to her mother, and husband of 36 years, are her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Tim Bingaman, of Aaronsburg; grandson, Matthew Bingaman, who named her “Nana” early on and is God’s gift that kept Elaine going the last few years; three brothers, Stanley, Randy, and Cory Shambach; and one sister, Ruth Ann Shambach.
    She was preceded in death by one brother, Dave Shambach; and her special aunt, Ruth Bowersox.
    Elaine has made her journey to God’s kingdom, now free of pain and suffering, and her family takes great comfort in knowing that according to God’s promise, they will be together again.
    Funeral services were held Tues., Jan. 10 at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.  Pastor Darrell Smucker officiated.
    Burial was in the Hartleton Cemetery.

Saphrona H. Auman
    Saphrona H. Auman, 89, of Lewisburg, passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan.3, 2012, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.  
    She was born Jan. 9, 1922, Saphrona was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Lingle) Guisewhite. On Oct. 2, 1939, she married Harry A. Auman who preceded her in death on Nov.10, 1987.  
    Saphrona was employed by Quaker Manufacturing, Mifflinburg, retiring with over 20 years of service.  
    She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Mifflinburg Moose and the ILGWU.  
    Saphrona enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, knitting and playing cards. If someone dropped by to visit her, Saphrona loved to cook for and visit with them. When she was able, Saphrona loved to tend the flowers around her home.  
    She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Florence A. and Glenn Vonada, of Rebersburg; one son, James F. Auman, of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Wendy Dauberman, of Lewisburg, Gregg Auman, of Indiana, and Scott Auman, of Sunbury; and four siblings, Sara Hosterman, of Centre Hall, Frances Confer, of Aaronsburg, Rufus Guisewhite, of Aaronsburg, and Donald Guisewhite, of Pleasant Gap.  
    She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Mae, Hazel, Bernice, Anna, Betty, Josephine, James and William; and two daughter-in-laws, Bonnie Auman and Katie Fomich Auman.  
    Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 7,  at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim. Pastor Chris Korn officiated.  
    Saphrona was laid to rest in Woodward Cemetery.

Dorothy L. Shipe
    Dorothy L. Shipe, 82, of Millmont, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
    She was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Leon Joseph (White) Bialek and Mary Elizabeth (Szybist) White. She was married to Herbert H. Shipe who preceded her in death.
    Dorothy was a homemaker and assisted with her husband’s chiropractor practice in Sunbury.
    She was of the Roman Catholic faith.
    Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, watching classic movies, and attending church services.
    She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin L. and Claudia Shipe, of Wayne; one daughter, Gayle L. Shipe, of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Cristina Shipe and Carolyn Shipe; three sisters, Betty Zay, of Williamsport, and Teresa Herendeen, of Williamsport, Helen Yasenchak, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lois White, of Binghamton, N.Y.
    Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 7, at the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg which included a catholic prayer service. Deacon Richard Owen officiated.
