Judy Lee Kline
Judy Lee Kline, 67, of 518 Tyson Road, passed away peacefully at 1:31 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Slifer R. and Arietta V. (Mann) Bennage. On Oct. 21, 1962, in Forest Hill, she married Kenneth William Kline who survives.
She was a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School class of 1961.
Judy was a homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the ministry of gospel music at church and other locations.
She was a member of Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg.
Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy L. and Richard K. Erdley, of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. and Edmerlina O., of Okinawa, Japan; seven grandchildren, Natalie, Sarah, Katie, Afreline, Kenneth, Christopher, and Austin; three brothers, William Bennage, of Mifflinburg, Curtis Bennage, of Milton, and Robert Bennage, of Milton; and four sisters, Shirley Troup, of Lewisburg, Rosella Predix, of Mifflinburg, Donna Gray, of New Columbia, and Audrey Wagner, of Davenport, Fla.
Family and friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg and will be welcome 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. Ned L. Knisely and the Rev. Leslie Conklin, officiating.
Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Memorial donations in Judy’s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Annabel Baylor
Annabel “Ann” Baylor, 86, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.
Ann was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Vicksburg, to her parents, Ruth Boyer of Cowen and Myron Mensch of Lewisburg. On July 23, 1942, Ann married Lee Russell Baylor, from Milton. Together they celebrated over 68 years of happiness.
During that time they raised two sons, Craig Lee Baylor and Terry Allen Baylor. The family moved to Norman, Okla., in 1966. Ann enjoyed her work and time as a member of the Eastern Star. She spent countless hours volunteering at Norman Regional Hospital and the Norman First Presbyterian Church Thrift Shop. They moved to Oklahoma City in 2003 to reside at Epworth Villa together. Her giving spirit, friendly attitude and patient demeanor are attributes that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Boyer Zimmerman, father, Myron Mensch and stepfather, Leroy Zimmerman.
Ann is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lee Baylor; sons, Craig Baylor and wife, Carol, of Norman and Terry Baylor of Oklahoma City; her sisters, Rozella Folmer, Eileen Coble and Lystra Mohr; brothers, Bill Zimmerman, Dane Zimmerman and Gary Zimmerman; grandchildren, Dustin Baylor of Enid, Justin Baylor of Oklahoma City, Nicole Fritz of Oklahoma City and Blake Baylor of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren Paxton, Garrison and Brooklyn Baylor.
Per her wishes, a private family service will be held.
Joseph E. Snook
Joseph Edward Snook, 83, of 671 Lamey Road, Millmont, since 1967, died at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Nov. 6, 1926, in McClure, he was a son of the late George A. and Kathryn L. (Baker) Snook. On July 1, 1947, in Mifflinburg, he married the former Rose M. Knittle, who survives.
Mr. Snook served in the Navy during World War II, from Feb. 23, 1945, until his honorable discharge July 21, 1946. He was awarded with the Pacific Theater and American Theater Ribbons and the Victory Medal.
After his Navy service, he graduated from Hartley Township High School in 1946.
Mr. Snook was employed in maintenance at Ritz-Craft, Mifflinburg, from 1967 until he retired in 1988. Earlier in life, he worked at General Electric and Mott’s Juice Company, in New York state, and Yorktowne Inc., Mifflinburg.
He was a member of the Union County Sportsmen’s Club, Weikert; the New Berlin American Legion Post 957; and the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 370, Mifflinburg.
He enjoyed traveling.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of nearly 63 years, are three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Sharon Snook of Bellevue, Neb., Lawrence and Mary Jane Snook of Allenwood and Dennis and Ginny Snook of Millmont; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Harry Snook of Millmont, Wilbur Snook of Morton, N.Y., Kenneth D. and Linda Snook of Mifflinburg, William and Elaine Snook of Moorestown, N.J. and Donald and Barbara Snook of Westfield; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth Pioch of Indianapolis, Ind., Elizabeth and Harold Klose of Allentown and Wilma Leitzel of New Berlin; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George B. Snook.
Funeral services were held Sat., June 5, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12 E. Market St., Mifflinburg. The Rev. Wayne S. Krell officiated.
Burial was in the Lincoln Chapel Cemetery, with military honors by the Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410.

Robert W. Rowe II
Robert William Rowe II, 58, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at his home surrounded by family.
Born Aug. 30, 1951, in Oil City, he was the son of Bernice Ritchey Rowe of Knox and the late Robert William Rowe. He was married to the former Darlene Rein on Nov. 18, 1978. She survives.
A graduate of the Keystone High School, Class of 1969, he attended the Clarion State Teachers College and graduated from the Allentown Municipal Police Academy in 1974.
He served over 28 years with the Lewisburg Police Department and continued his public service as a Union County corrections officer, serving as deputy warden for seven years.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, where he served as a member of the church council, an usher, a member of the property committee and a sound technician for worship services.
Mr. Rowe was a lifetime member of the William Cameron Engine Co., which he joined in 1972. He served as ambulance chairman, fire department lieutenant, captain, deputy chief and chief.
He enjoyed sports and served as president of the Lewisburg Midget Football and Cheerleading and as a board member of the Lewisburg Little League. He was co-founder of the Lewisburg Youth Basketball program. Just before his illness, he became licensed as a PIAA football official.
He enjoyed time with family.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert W. “Bill” Rowe III of Hutchinson, Kan., Steven F. Rowe of Harrisburg, Brian E. and Kim Rowe of Lewisburg and Jeffrey A. and Julie Rowe of York; a daughter, Jenna M. Rowe and her fiancé, Eric Orbison, both of Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Kelsi and Brock Rowe of Hutchinson, Kan., Elaine Rowe of Jacobus, Natalie Rowe of Milton, Brandon and Hunter Rowe of Lewisburg and Grant, Gwynn and Grady Rowe of York; a sister, Mary Katherine Wise of Knox; and numerous cousins, nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services were held Mon., June 7, at Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Services were officiated by the Rev. William Henderson.
Burial followed in Lewisburg Cemetery.

Harold W. Stephens
Harold W. Stephens, 81, of 133 JPM Road, Lewisburg, died Friday afternoon, May 28, 2010, at RiverWoods, surrounded by friends.
Born July 29, 1928, in Mifflinburg, he was a son of the late Alton Wade and Corene Young (Hommel) Stephens.
A 1946 graduate of Mifflinburg High School, he had served with the Army in Germany for 13 months during the Korean Conflict.
A security captain, he was a security officer for many manufacturing plans and warehouses, among them Philco-Ford, Zenith, ACF, Securitas Security Services of Muncy and retired from Super Rite Foods, Harrisburg, in 1991. He also served as a part-time officer with the Watsontown Police Department.
Mr. Stephens was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1396, Mifflinburg; a life member of the Warrior Run Area Fire Department; and belonged to the Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Lee and Maurice E. Edinger Jr. of White Deer and Barbara Jo and Robert Scutt of Mountain Top; and three granddaughters, Anna, Alyssa and Amy Scutt.
A memorial service was held Wed., June 9, at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg. The Rev. Kenneth J. Steckel officiated.
Burial followed in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
The family asks that donations in his memory be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
John O. Hollenbach
John O. Hollenbach, 85, of Moore’s School Road, Lewisburg, died at the home of his son early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010, surrounded by family.
Born Sept. 18, 1924, in Union County, he was a son of the late Paul B. and Dora A. (Trawitz) Hollenbach. He was married 63 years to the former Shirley J. Dunkle, who preceded him in death on May 3. The couple started their lives together on the Bright Byerly farm, where the lived and raised their family for 36 years.
A farmer for 36 years, Mr. Hollenbach worked for the Lewisburg Cemetery, Dewart Auction Barn, Byerly’s Meat farm, Bank’s Junkyard of Milton and the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time with family.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Frances I. and Frederick Schreck of Lewisburg, JoAnne O. Hulsizer and her companion, Lee Zartman, of Milton and Pamela L. and Terry Heimbach of Lewisburg; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Scott E. and Sandra Hollenbach of Middleburg, Steven E. and Thelma Jean Hollenbach of Watsontown, John J. and Ethel Hollenbach of Watsontown and Franklin E. and April Hollenbach of Allenwood; 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six adopted grandchildren; five sisters, Dot Hollenbach, Shirley Beck, Betty Dreisbach, Pat Foust and Phyllis Jones; and three brothers, Bright, Donny and Raymond Hollenbach.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, John O. Hollenbach Jr. on April 23, 1948; two brothers, Frank and Harold Hollenbach; a sister, Sara Musser; and two brothers, Paul and Roger, as infants.
Funeral services were held Sat., June 5, at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg. The Rev. Carl Varner officiated. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
