Teresa Anna Trego
Teresa Anna Trego, 30, of Orianna Street, Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at her home.
She was the loving mother of Annabelle Rose Trego-Mumford and close friend and companion of Morgan Mumford, both of Philadelphia; beloved daughter of Robert C. Trego Jr., of Rebersburg, and of Barbara Yoder and stepdaughter of Brian Yoder, both of Hamburg; beloved sister and sister-in-law of Chuck and Sherrill (Steen) Trego, of Walton Beach, Fla., and beloved sister of Lisa Trego, of Laurelton. She also is survived by her paternal grandparents, Robert and C. Louise (Cook) Trego; maternal grandparents, Charles and Audrey (Metzger) Brackman; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and a large extended family and friends.
Teresa was full of love and life. She taught us all to pause and see the beauty around us in nature, animals and people.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., Nov. 19, in West End Bible Fellowship, Route 45, a half-mile west of Laurelton. Her ashes will be released after the service at Chimney Rock, Weikert. A time of fellowship will follow at the church.
Esther J. Hollenbach
Esther J. Hollenbach, 92, formerly of Thomas Street, Mifflinburg passed away at 8:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at RiverWoods.
She was born June 9, 1919, in Jackson Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Murray and Anne (Ulrich) Hollenbach. She was married to Elwood E. Hollenbach, who preceded her in death in 1977.
She attended the Ulrich School and had been employed by the Rosedale Dairy in New Berlin and retired in 1984 from Chef Boyardee in Milton.
Esther was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin where at one time she had been a Sunday school superintendant. She was also a member of American Legion Post 957 Ladies Auxiliary, New Berlin.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as cooking for family and friends and spending time at her son’s farm.
She is survived by two sons, Edwin E. Hollenbach, of New Berlin and Donald G. Hollenbach, of San Jose, Calif.; one granddaughter, Tricia Luckabaugh; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney Luckabaugh.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ulrich and Margaret Hollenbach; and four brothers, Roy, Jim, John and Harry Hollenbach.
Funeral services were held Tues., Nov. 15, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove. Her pastor, Dawn Marie Meier and RiverWoods chaplain Alice Rauch officiated.
Burial was in the New Berlin Cemetery.

Thomas M. Wagner
Thomas M. Wagner, 72, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at his home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1938, in Beaver Springs, the son of the late Forry and Vera Bachman Wagner. In 1963, he married the former Lois E. Yount, who survives. They were married for 48 years.
After graduating from West Snyder High School in 1956, Tom obtained his bachelor of science and master of education degrees from Bloomsburg State College.
During his career in public education, Tom was an elementary school teacher from 1960 to 1970, a reading specialist from 1970 to 1990 and an administrative reading specialist from 1990 to 1997. Upon retiring from the Midd-West School District in 1997 after 37 years of distinguished service, he continued his concern for education by becoming an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, where he served the Snyder County chapter as the educational support chairman. In October 2010, Tom received a letter of commendation from PASR for his dedicated service to education and to his community.
Tom was a very active member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Milton, where he had served as a Sunday school teacher, board chairman for 30 years, finance committee member and 100th anniversary committee member. He also was a member of the Union County Gideons.
He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, reading, gardening and coaching Little League baseball and softball and loved his family very much. We have been blessed and inspired by Tom’s life and his courage.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg and Jennifer Wagner, of Hanover, and Kevin Wagner, of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Arlington Vrontisis, of Milton; three grandchildren, Drew, Alissa and Nicholas Wagner; one sister and brother-in-law, Madeline and Richard Mattern, of Beaver Springs; two nieces, Bonnie and Teresa; and a nephew, Shawn.
Funeral services were held Sat., Nov. 12, at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St., Milton. The Rev. Dale Hippensteel officiated.
Burial was in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.

Aaron Shirk Martin
Aaron Shirk Martin, 76, of Lewisburg, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at his home following a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 27, 1934, in New Holland, a son of the late Noah Kurtz and Emma (Shirk) Martin. On Nov. 13, 1956, in Blue Ball, he married the former Emma Witmer Nolt, who survives.
Aaron was engaged in farming in Buffalo Township, Union County. Following his retirement, he assisted at the Buffalo Valley Produce Auction.
Aaron was a member of Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 10 children and their spouses, Norman N. and Ella Mae H. Martin, of Lewisburg, Lester N. and Marlene Z. Martin, of Mifflinburg, Aaron N. and Emma Ruth Martin, of Salisbury, N.C., Miriam N. and Leonard S. Schrock, of Sheridan, Mich., Wilmer N. and Jane G. Martin, of Fenwick, Mich., Vera N. and Dean Stump, of Denver, David N. and Linda S. Martin, of Winfield, Emma N. and John David Weaver, of Mifflinburg, Ervin N. and Ruth W. Martin, of Lewisburg, and Irene N. and David E. Reiff, of Mifflinburg; 67 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 siblings and their spouses, Anna S. Zeiset, of East Earl, Lavina S. and Aaron Nolt, of Kutztown, Emma S. and Abraham Zimmerman, of Mifflinburg, Noah S. and Minerva Martin, of New Holland, Lizzie S. Zimmerman, of Pen Yan, N.Y., Ada S. and Daniel Zimmerman, of Barnett, Miss., Ivan S. and Esther Martin, of Shippensburg, Mary S. and Harvey Hoover, of Shippensburg, Lena S. Zimmerman of Newville, and Harvey S. and Martha Martin, of New Holland.
Preceding him in death were one sister, Alta S. Martin, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral was conducted Sat., Nov. 12, at the Martin home, 4773 Furnace Road, Lewisburg with additional services in Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church, Beaver Run Road, Mifflinburg. Officiating was Ezra M. Zimmerman, Levi N. Martin, Amos W. Nolt, Lloyd R. Zimmerman, Aaron W. Nolt, Allen S. Nolt and Edwin S. Nolt.
Serving as pallbearers were Norman Lee Martin, Landis Schrock, David Martin, Tim Martin, Michael Martin and Joshua Weaver.
Interment was in Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Cemetery, Buffalo Township, Union County.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
David L. Kratzer
David L. Kratzer, 70, of 706 Creek Road, New Columbia passed away at 6:24 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, in Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
He was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Winfield, a son of Nora Catherine (Heintzelman) Kratzer Reich, of Middleburg, and the late Lester Kratzer. On Sept. 2, 1961, he married the former Jane L. Trego, who survives.
David had farmed and retired in 2000 after 32 years of service from Chef Boy-Ar-Dee, Milton.
He was a member of Hummel’s United Methodist Church, Middleburg, and a member of the Iron Club, Mifflinburg.
David loved to farm and spend time at his cabin in Potter County. He also enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife of 50 years and his mother, he is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Linda A. and Todd Wagner, of Beavertown, Brenda L. Kratzer, of Camp Hill, and Lisa M. Kratzer and her companion, Dan Tosheff, of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Lonni Wagner, of Blue Bell, Trevor Wagner, of Kutztown University, Dylan White, of Villanova University, Monica Urich, of West Virginia University, and Shannon Urich, of Camp Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Kenneth Barner, of Millerstown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Gloria Kratzer, of Middleburg, and Richard and Bonnie Kratzer, of Coudersport; his mother-in-law, Betty Trego, of West Milton, the Trego brothers-in-law and their spouses, Dave and Bernice Trego and Tom and Daria Trego, all of Juneau, Alaska, Charles and Beverly Trego, of Northumberland; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy and Perry Eroh, of Northumberland, and Susan Longenderfer, of Sunbury.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Kratzer, and his stepfather, Marvin Reich.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Sun., Nov. 20, at Hummel’s United Methodist Church, Oak Lane, Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 3 with Pastor Carvel K. May officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
